Old Arthur’s is authentically original barbecue. Our award-winning recipes date back to around 1850. These recipes which predate the US Civil War, continue to win Honors well into our third century!

Eudell Watts IV is a fifth-generation Pit Master and co-founder/owner of Old Arthur’s Barbecue Products, LLC. This family enterprise is named after their patriarch Arthur Watts. Arthur Watts began crafting these recipes as a teen, continually refining them until near the time of his death at the incredible age of 108! Old Arthur’s manufactures award-winning barbecue sauces and dry rubs true to a set of heirloom recipes first crafted by Arthur Watts more than 160 years ago. The Watts family has carefully guarded and passed down Arthur’s prized recipes and BBQ knowledge through five generations as part of their family legacy.

Eudell Watts IV has been entrusted to carry on his family’s long-standing tradition of excellence in open pit barbecuing within his family and has taken on the additional mission of sharing Arthur’s incredibly rich legacy with the public. In this past year, Old Arthur’s has begun to garner increasing attention from media outlets like USA TodayFood & Wine MagazineAmerican Express’ Business Class NewsABC TelevisionFox SportsWGN News, and the Chicago Tribune.

Although this is Watts’ first commercial foray into the world of food and beverage, he is an accomplished marketer and sales manager with almost thirty years of successful leadership experience in the BioPharma arena. In fact, this remains his “day job” as he works with his father to revive Old Arthur’s. In prior Pharma roles, Watts has proven to be a strategic and resourceful professional with a unique breadth of experience stewarding brands for three of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
